All over the earth today, the Holy Spirit is moving to restore the priesthood of the believer. God is beginning to open up opportunity throughout His church to all those who have felt marginalized and insignificant and unused by the Lord. Many pastors and other five-fold ministers are beginning to understand the mind of the Lord concerning the empowerment of His people and have begun to provide opportunity for the saints of God to move into their places in the Body of Christ so that the Lord can bring about the goal that He has had in mind from eternity - a perfect corporate man, the many-membered body that will rule and reign with Him throughout eternity, and a true theocratic government administered by His Christ.

We are not talking here about incidental activities that you may have done in a church organization in the past. We are talking about specific ministry to the Body of Christ that God has intended for you as a vital function of His heart and mind to His corporate Christ. This is clearly spoken of in Paul’s Epistle:

Eph 4:1
"I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation divine calling wherewith ye are called"

Eph 4:7
"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ."

Eph 4:1- 14
"And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, that they should do the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive"

In 1Cor 14:26
"When you come together, everyone has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. All these things must be done for the strengthening of the church".
 

The Ephesians Four Mandate ministry is our response to the Holy Spirit’s prompting to be obedient to God and provide a vessel through which He can bring a restoration of this holy priesthood relationship of every believer according to the principle of Christ.
Our purpose is to teach and train each member of the Body of Christ and to activate God’s ministry in each life. The context for this ministry of teaching and training is the home, the community, and the corporate place of fellowship here at York Christian Fellowship.
